We've never been to Rehoboth but, we're going the weekend of 4/28 and looking forward to a much needed weekend getaway. So any recommendations are welcome! Sorry to have missed Women's Week figured it would be an awesome time ~ however, it's written in 'ink' for next year.

Wow. Sounds like a wonderful conference. Also, it seems like we all should make plans to retire in Rehoboth.

I so enjoyed meeting you at Proud Books in Rehoboth. Also got a glimpse of you at the Tea Dance on Saturday with Bonnie. Makes Rehoboth a great place, no? Family everywhere -- laughing, dancing, talking -- I'm sorry to be back in DC. Next year!!

Doesn’t everyone know that Rehoboth is in Delaware? Never mind, I have an unfair advantage, I live just one state north.

Delaware is a retirees dream for 2 reasons: it is by the ocean and it is affordable.
There is no state sales tax in Delaware and real estate taxes are quite reasonable. In Delaware a yearly tax bill less than $1,000 is more the norm (just 1/10th of what NJ homeowners pay). Also, and if you’re 60 or older you can exclude up to $12,500 of Investment and Qualified Pension Income from your taxes.

Sounds like it was a great weekend, thanks for sharing.

You have captured the same feelings of middle age that I, and probably most (or all) of us have at one point or another. The "where did time go", the pride, the belonging. From there my mind goes in 2 directions; how can this be explained to me 25 years ago and, if this is how I feel in my late 40s, what are my parent's feelings in their late 70s?

Very moving and strikes close to home for me, too. How did my sons get to be thirty-five and twenty-nine? How did my granddaughter get to seventeen months when I'm sure she was born just last week? Tempus fugit. Much faster these days, unfortunately.

Very nice, Georgia. You got me a little misty-eyed.

I understand the family introductions - I have a large Italian family, too. I just tell people, "Anyone you meet is either an Aunt, an Uncle or a Cousin...it's usually best to smile and nod until you get your bearings." :-)

Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thanks, Allie. I appreciate you stepping out of your comfort zone. :) Mostly, I try to just write a sentence or two when I respond to an author. If there was one thing that struck me or how it made me feel. I figure there are reviewers who do a far better job than I would. Mostly, it's validation that *real* people are reading our work. And you are!
